Sage Mediation congratulates the team from the National University of Singapore Law School for winning the Gold Award for both the Mediation and Mediation Advocacy categories in the inaugural International Mediation Singapore (IMSG) Competition held from 2 to 5 August 2019 in Singapore.
40 teams from elite universities from 14 different jurisdictions participated and awed the judges with their performance.
Special shout out to Mr Hans Christian Tjønnås from the University of Oslo and his coaches, Prof Roar Thun Wægger and Ms Sofia Giannopoulou. Christian used a “circular” agenda format to reinforce that there was no strict priority with which the issues could be discussed, and how they were all interlinked.
It was the first time I’ve seen this. And, it gives us a peek of the innovation that is to come in international mediation practice as more of these brilliant young minds apply themselves passionately to this important work.
