Judge Rowena Tan

Judge Rowena Tan is the Presiding Judge and 1st Vice Executive Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 118 in Pasay City, Philippines. Rowena’s judicial career spans almost 30 years, as she first served at various levels of the Philippines’ Courts before being appointed to the bench. Judge Rowena Tan is also an accredited mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI).
Judge Rowena Tan has been involved in Judicial Dispute Resolution for over the past 10 years, for relevant civil and criminal cases that come before her. As a firm advocate of therapeutic justice, Judge Rowena Tan believes in using a purposive and facilitative approach to her mediations, to assist parties in reaching amicable settlements. She also trains judges in Judicial Dispute Resolution in the Philippine Judicial Academy, and lectures in the University of Asia and the Pacific in Pasig, as well as the Far Eastern University in Makati.
