Francis Goh is a Certified Mediator of the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) which is the highest level of accreditation in Singapore. Since the beginning of his mediation work in 2001, Francis has mediated cases of high stakes complex disputes, involving relational and contract issues, as well as multi-party and multi-jurisdictional disputes.

I see my mediator role as one where I am facilitating the parties’ interactions with a view to identifying the real underlying interests at play. At the request of parties, during private sessions, I may adopt a more evaluative style to do reality checking and guide parties to evaluate options so that they can make meaningful choices as they work towards a negotiated mutually agreed outcome. Case Highlights

  • Acted as a sole Mediator in a multi-ethnic partnership dispute where cultural sensitivities featured prominently and were critical in guiding parties to reach a settlement.
  • Acted as sole Mediator under the auspices of the ICDR-AAA in a cross-border dispute involving a US and Asian party. Full settlement reached.
  • Acted as co-Mediator in Singapore (SIMC) to successfully resolve a dispute involving international parties concerning a construction project in an ASEAN country.
